Local Couple Replicates Beloved Long Beach Breakfast Spot in the Heart of Belmont Heights
By Peggy McCabe
Joshua and Pamela Beadel are Long Beach locals who have lived, worked and invested in the local community since 2000. Their love of cherished family recipes combined with a unique entrepreneurial spirit motivated the couple to create a restaurant where they could share their beloved food traditions with the community they love. The result is The Breakfast Bar, a restaurant built to bring family and friends together over food and drink. The original Breakfast Bar opened in Downtown Long Beach and now Belmont Heights neighbors can enjoy breakfast, brunch and lunch every day at the new location, which opened in February 2022.
The Beadels strive to make many of the items on their menu in-house, upholding a level of homemade taste and quality unique to their establishment. Many of their recipes have been passed down on both sides of the family from grandmothers, great-aunts and mothers and lovingly refined by Joshua and Pamela to create a flavorful dining experience, especially when combined with specialty drinks that are as distinctive and extraordinary as the food. The menu of both drinks and food encourages patrons to taste the love infused in the food and to try something new!
Joshua and Pamela live in Belmont Heights with their children, Jackie, 10, and Jonah, 6. The children attend local schools, and the family is active in the neighborhood. Cultivating relationships and connecting community is their goal, so make plans to drop in to The Breakfast Bar to meet the Beadels, enjoy their hospitality and support another local business bringing a new dining experience to the community.
The Breakfast Bar is located at 3404 E. 4th Street. For more information, call 562-726-1700 or visit www.thebreakfastbarlbc.com You can also find the restaurant on Facebook and Instagram.
