Christmas was a little bit brighter this year for a homeless family being serviced by WomenShelter of Long Beach.
In time for the holidays, the BHCA provided a $150 grant, along with an additional $250 in matching funds, which provided one family with Christmas gifts and plenty of food for a festive dinner. Among the gifts provided were new bedding and comforters, new overcoats and shoes, art supplies, books, puzzles, and toys for their cats.
Over 80 WomenShelter families were anonymously adopted through this program by individuals and groups in 2020.
