Scott Kinsey and Derek Burnham from the City's Planning Department did a presentation on the proposed regulations concerning billboards and electronic signage in the City. Attached is a PDF presentation for your review.

The process for reviewing and finalizing the regulations is as follows:
The City Attorney is looking at the proposed regulations; after that, a series of community meetings will be held; regulations will then go to the Planning Commission for another study session with anticipated final regulations approved by the end of the year. Gordana Kajer recommended that a 1.5 hour seminar on disaster preparedness by presented at our September meeting. Please look for more information in August. We encourage residents to attend this important session.

Derek Burnham mentioned that the City is looking at issues related to medicinal marijuana outlets and is watching what happens with the City of Los Angeles. State law allows a co-op distribution center with a physician on-site.
