A reminder that we are meeting Wednesday, July 14 @ 7 PM at Belmont Heights United Methodist Church at the corner of 3rd and Termino. We want to finalize recommendations to the city regarding the LB2030 plan so please do come and give us your comments/feedback.

BHCA Monthly Meeting, June 9 @ 7 PM at Belmont Heights United Methodist Church

Please be advised that our next meeting will be held on June 9 @ 7 PM at the Belmont Heights United Methodist Church at the corner of Third and Termino. The meeting is held in the downstairs auditorium adjacent to the parking lot on Termino.

There are a number of issues for discussion including a decision on what input Belmont Heights submits to the City's Planning Department regarding the LB2030 plan.

BHCA May Meeting Cancelled

Please note that our May meeting has been cancelled. Several board members are out of town. The next meeting will be held June 9 @ 7 PM at Belmont Heights United Methodist Church.

BHCA Monthly Meeting

A reminder that our monthly meeting is scheduled for April 14 @ 7 PM at Belmont Heights United Methodist Church at the corner of Termino and 3rd. Access to the meeting room is on the parking lot side on Termino.

There are a number of items on the agenda including board nominations, plans for the next newsletter, and follow-up regarding the LB2030 Plan. Mark Hungerford from the City's Planning Department will attend and a brief presentation will be made by the group "The Truth about 2nd and PCH".

Thursday's 3rd District Candidate Debate

A reminder that we are hosting a candidate forum for those running for the 3rd District council seat. The forum will take place Thursday, March 18 @ 6:30 PM at Rogers Middle School auditorium located at 365 Monrovia Ave. Gary DeLong, Terry Jensen and Thomas Marchese have confirmed their attendance. The forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters, the BHCA and the BSRA.

Important Meetings Scheduled in February

Please log on to the Belmont Heights website for an update on important meetings this month. Included is the BHCA Monthly Meeting on Wed, February 10 @ 7 PM at Belmont Heights United Methodist Church, Colorado Lagoon Restoration meeting on February 11 and a Community meeting regarding the LB2030 plan on Saturday February 20 from 10 am to noon.

Monthly Meeting of BHCA on January 13

Please remember that our monthly meeting will be held this Wednesday, January 13 @ 7 PM at Belmont Heights United Methodist Church at the corner of Termino and Third.

Steve Gerhardt, City Planning Staff, is attending to provide an update on the Long Beach 2030 Plan and how it affects/impacts Belmont Heights.

December 9 Monthly Meeting

Please remember to attend our monthly meeting on Wednesday, December 9 @ 7 PM at Belmont Heights United Methodist Church.

John Keisler. Bureau Manager for the City of Long Beach Animal Care Services, will be discussing animal control services in the City. Come and find out what you can do to support the animal shelter and also get an update on current regulations for dogs and cats. John is also a good resource on how to approach and manage neighborhood issues related to our canine and feline friends.

Second+PCH Meeting

For those interested, please note that on November 16th at 5:30 p.m. the City of Long Beach will be holding a second Community Meeting to get input on the plans for the project at 2nd and PCH. The meeting will be held at Wilson High School in the Media Center.
